about

In 2014, my life was falling apart. I was in the midst of multiple personal struggles including the breakup of my second twenty-year relationship. Then, I randomly met someone new. Although, I was attracted to this man, I was also determined to be single, at least for a while. But fate had other plans for me. Before I knew it, I was swept off my feet by this “Finest Man.” I used to tell my friends that I felt like, since meeting him, I was living the life I never even dreamed was possible. Now I understand that it was possible all along. I just needed to be ready for him.

lyrics

I went down to the corner looking for some fun
I went down to the corner looking for some fun
When I saw you there, honey I was all undone

You came up and asked me, would I go for a ride
Yes, you came up and asked me, would I go for a ride
Next thing I knew, I was sitting right by your side

I don’t know what you did
I don’t know what you said
I looked in your eyes, and I was out of my head
Oh baby, do you know what I mean
You’re the finest man that I’ve ever seen

I don’t know what you did
I don’t know what you said
I looked in your eyes, and I was out of my head
Oh baby, do you know what I mean
You’re the finest man that I’ve ever seen

You came up from behind and swept me off my feet
Yes, you came up from behind and swept me off my feet
And when you lay me down, honey it was oh so sweet

I don’t know what you did
I don’t know what you said
I looked in your eyes, and I was out of my head
Oh baby, do you know what I mean
You’re the finest man that I’ve ever seen
