The wintertime is coming, the frost is on the ground the chilly wind has blown the leaves around it’s time to stoke the fire sit in the candlelight make it through an empty endless night And I’d better bundle up cause it’s gonna be cold outside Better grab my hat, so I can keep my head in the weather cause it’s gonna be cold outside, yes, it’s gonna be cold outside the world it whirls around my vertigo kicks in I find that I am looking at my sins I slowly turn my head and try to find the door then realize that I’ve been here before And I’d better bundle up cause it’s gonna be cold outside Better grab my hat, so I can keep my head in the weather cause it’s gonna be cold outside, yes, it’s gonna be cold outside The years keep flying faster my hair is turning gray I find there is a lot I have to say my body may be brittle but my spirit’s staying strong I’ll keep on moving, moving right along And I’d better bundle up cause it’s gonna be cold outside Better grab my hat, so I can keep my head in the weather cause it’s gonna be cold outside, yes, it’s gonna be cold outside

Let the rain come, I’ve got my umbrella Let the rain come, I’m here with my fella I’ve always got a song in my heart Let the rain come I’m not saying that life can’t get a little tough now and then I’m just saying that there’s always something better ‘round the bend Let the rain come, I’ve got my umbrella Let the rain come, I’m here with my fella I’ve always got a song in my heart Let the rain come I’ve been looking at the storm clouds growing and the rain start to pour Now I’m looking for a rainbow, when I walk out the door Let the rain come, I’ve got my umbrella Let the rain come, I’m here with my fella I’ve always got a song in my heart Let the rain come I’ve been hearing the thunder rumble and the wind start to blow Now I’m hearing the sound of music everywhere I go Let the rain come, I’ve got my umbrella Let the rain come, I’m here with my fella I’ve always got a song in my heart Let the rain come Oh, let the rain pour down on me Let it rain, let it rain, let it rain Oh, let the rain pour right down on me Let it rain, let it rain, Let it rain, let it rain, let it rain

I remember the night that we danced to Black Velvet A song that I’d not heard before And we watched the moon rise looking out your back window Then we danced just a little bit more Black Velvet, Black Velvet you go down so smooth and the song that I’m hearing reminds me of you But the dancing, it wasn’t enough when the going got tough, we stopped trying forgot all our moves, couldn’t get in the groove And the song kept on playing without us Black Velvet, Black Velvet you go down so smooth and the song that I’m hearing reminds me of you So, we danced for a while ‘til we started to stumble both lost our footing, and fell, but I’ve still got that song, and I’ve still got the liquor and a story that’s too sad to tell Black Velvet, Black Velvet you go down so smooth and the song that I’m hearing reminds me of you Yes, the song that I’m hearing reminds me of you

I’ve got some hot coffee in bed My baby brought it to me to clear my head I’ve got some big plans for the day I really should be going, but he wants me to stay I’ve got to put my two feet down on the ground It’s hard to get moving when he’s around So first my hot coffee, hot coffee in bed I’ll grab my car keys in my hand Put the pedal to the metal, see where I land I’ve got some high flying to do I’m looking for adventure, want to try something new I’ve got to put my two feet down on the ground It’s hard to get moving when he’s around So first my hot coffee, hot coffee in bed I like o.j., I like tea, but I can have those later My first thought when I wake up is ooh, where’s my percolator I like o.j., I like tea, but I can have those later My first thought when I wake up is ooh, where’s my percolator I’ve got that hot coffee in bed hot coffee, hot, hot coffee got that hot coffee in bed hot, hot coffee, hot, hot coffee

In Winter 04:28
In winter, the moon is on the river Reflecting those promises once made In winter, my body starts to shiver The North Wind takes my breath away And I’m thinking about tonight, what the future will bring I’m trying to plan and scheme, think about everything I’m thinking about tonight, I’ll be there with you In the soft glow of firelight and dreams In winter, there’s stars too dense to number Homeward, Orion leads the way In winter, I snuggle down to slumber Starting to sleep my life away Then I’m thinking about tonight, what the future will bring I’m trying to plan and scheme, think about everything I’m thinking about tonight, I’ll be there with you In the soft glow of firelight and dreams In winter, flurries past my window Leaving snow along the road In winter, I skate into tomorrow Dropping my sometimes heavy load And I’m thinking about tonight, what the future will bring I’m trying to plan and scheme, think about everything I’m thinking about tonight, I’ll be there with you In the soft glow of firelight and dreams In winter

Finest Man 03:31
I went down to the corner looking for some fun I went down to the corner looking for some fun When I saw you there, honey I was all undone You came up and asked me, would I go for a ride Yes, you came up and asked me, would I go for a ride Next thing I knew, I was sitting right by your side I don’t know what you did I don’t know what you said I looked in your eyes, and I was out of my head Oh baby, do you know what I mean You’re the finest man that I’ve ever seen I don’t know what you did I don’t know what you said I looked in your eyes, and I was out of my head Oh baby, do you know what I mean You’re the finest man that I’ve ever seen You came up from behind and swept me off my feet Yes, you came up from behind and swept me off my feet And when you lay me down, honey it was oh so sweet I don’t know what you did I don’t know what you said I looked in your eyes, and I was out of my head Oh baby, do you know what I mean You’re the finest man that I’ve ever seen

Lonely Chair 03:14
Sometimes you travel here and there, no matter where you’ve been Every time you go away, you come back home again I pull my old recliner closer to the fire And lean back in the arms of that old lonely chair When you’re not there, I don’t want to be anywhere but Cradled in the arms of that old lonely chair Don’t want to go to bed at night, freezing and alone To wake up every hour, reach for you and moan So, I pull my old recliner closer to the fire And lean back in the arms of my lonely chair When you’re not there, I don’t want to be anywhere But cradled in the arms of that old lonely chair I know you have to go away, go out and do your thing and I know you love me darling, more than anything I’m good at keeping busy, while I’m missing you Then nighttime comes and darkness falls, and I feel blue Now, when your journey’s ended, and you come back home to me Walk into the living room, ‘cause that is where I’ll be I pulled my old recliner closer to the fire And leaned back in the arms of my lonely chair When you’re not there, I don’t want to be anywhere But cradled in the arms of that old lonely chair When you’re not there, I don’t want to be anywhere But cradled in the arms of that old lonely chair Yes, I’ll be sleeping in the arms of that old lonely chair

It’s raining, it’s pouring, the old man is snoring He bumped his head when he went to bed and didn’t get up in the morning Oh dear, what do I hear? The rain is falling everywhere. Oh my, look at the sky I just got a raindrop in my eye It’s raining, it’s pouring, the old man is snoring Listen to that melody of raindrops on the ground Dee deedly drip drop drip drop drip drip drop Dee deedly drip drop drip drop, oh Listen to that melody of raindrops on the ground I know it makes the gardens grow and the flowers smell so sweet And I like to listen to that syncopated beat Dee deedly drip drop drip drop drip drip drop Dee deedly drip drop drip drop, oh Listen to that melody of raindrops on the ground I know it makes the gardens grow and the flowers smell so sweet And I like to listen to that syncopated beat Dee deedly drip drop drip drop drip drip drop Dee deedly drip drop drip drop, oh Listen to that melody of raindrops on the ground Rain, rain go away come again another day Everybody wants to play so won’t you go away Ho hum, where’s the sun? I want to go outside for fun Hey, hey what do you say I really don’t mind a rainy day It’s raining, it’s pouring, the old man is snoring Listen to that melody of raindrops on the ground Dee deedly drip drop drip drop drip drip drop Dee deedly drip drop drip drop, oh Listen to that melody of raindrops on the ground I said listen to that melody of raindrops on the ground

Lullaby 03:30
Lullaby, twilight is fading, time to close your eyes Dream away through worlds of splendor, watching the full moon rise Sail away to lands unknown, stars will show the way Wake up in the morning to a brand a new day Lullaby, lullaby Close your eyes and rest while I sing this lullaby When you wake, the world will be waiting, you can look around But for now, lay down your head, and listen to the sounds Sail away to lands unknown, stars will show the way Wake up in the morning to a brand a new day Lullaby, lullaby Close your eyes and rest while I sing this lullaby, lullaby Close your eyes and rest Close your eyes and rest Close your eyes and rest while I sing

All Is Well 04:27
When it’s midnight and the stars are brightly shining The moon is new and can’t be found Coyotes sing their song out in the forest You know I love to listen to that sound I really love to listen to that sound When the frost has left a pattern on my window The snow has left a blanket on the ground I feel the muffled sound of my love snoring You know I love to listen to that sound I really love to listen to that sound In the nighttime, in the nighttime all is well In the nighttime, in the nighttime all is well Sometimes I forget to be grateful Sometimes I forget the golden rule Sometimes life can be full of surprises, even cruel When the fragrance of the summer makes my head spin And fireflies are twinkling all around I can hear the crickets tapping out their rhythm You know I love to listen to that sound I really love to listen to that sound In the nighttime, in the nighttime all is well In the nighttime, in the nighttime all is well

Picture yourself in a boat on a river With tangerine trees and marmalade skies Somebody calls you, you answer quite slowly A girl with kaleidoscope eyes Cellophane flowers of yellow and green Towering over your head Look for the girl with the sun in her eyes And she's gone Lucy in the sky with diamonds Lucy in the sky with diamonds Lucy in the sky with diamonds Ahh Follow her down to a bridge by a fountain Where rocking horse people eat marshmallow pies Everyone smiles as you drift past the flowers That grow so incredibly high Newspaper taxis appear on the shore Waiting to take you away Climb in the back with your head in the clouds And you're gone Lucy in the sky with diamonds Lucy in the sky with diamonds Lucy in the sky with diamonds Ahh Picture yourself on a train in a station With plasticine porters with looking glass ties Suddenly, someone is there at the turnstile The girl with kaleidoscope eyes Lucy in the sky with diamonds Lucy in the sky with diamonds Lucy in the sky with diamonds Ahh

about

During the Covid-19 pandemic, when everything in the Northeast United States was shut down, I wrote many songs and conceived of this project. Some of the tracks were sent remotely, other musicians were comfortable coming into our recording studio, working in separate booths. This project is a testiment to the resiliency of the music community and the love of music that brings us all together.
